Description
ANSYS 11.0 for Designers textbook has been written to assist the
engineering students as well as the practicing designers who are new to
the field of Finite Element Analysis (FEA). In this textbook, the
chapters are arranged in a pedagogical sequence covering the basic FEA
concepts, modeling, and analysis of engineering problems using ANSYS.
Contours and line diagrams have been used throughout the textbook to
facilitate better understanding of various analysis techniques that will
improve the productivity and efficiency of the users. Written with the
tutorial point of view and the learn-by-doing theme, the textbook is
ideally suited for learning at your convenience and at your pace. This
textbook covers the following simulation streams of ANSYS:
Structural Analysis
Static
Structural Analysis
Dynamic
Analysis
Modal
Analysis
Harmonic
Analysis
Transient
Analysis
Nonlinear
Analysis
Thermal Analysis
Steady State
Thermal Analysis
Transient
Thermal Analysis
The following are some additional features of this
book:

Consists of 11 chapters that are
organized in a pedagogical sequence covering
the major types of analyses.

The first page of every chapter summarizes the
topics that are covered in it.

Real-world examples are included that focus on
industry experience.

Two tutorial-based chapters have been added in
this textbook to enable the users to understand and solve various
analysis problems in an easy and efficient manner.

Step-by-step tutorials have been provided to
guide the users
through the learning process.

Tips and notes are provided throughout the
textbook to give additional information on various topics.

Self-Evaluation Test and Review Questions are provided at the end of
each chapter that can be used by the faculty
members as test questions and assignments.
